• Our knowledgeable captain and crew will lead you on an educational journey along the Atlantic coast in search of whales, dolphins, seals, and several species of birds. The highlight of these trips is spotting humpback whales, which can often be seen breaching, flipper slapping or tail lobbing.
• With 40+ years of experience navigating our coastal waters, we are sure to give you and your family the experience of a lifetime. All of our boats are equipped with two bathrooms, a snack bar, a full bar, a heated indoor cabin with comfortable seating, and have a spacious upper deck that is perfect for spotting Virginia’s magnificent wildlife. What to Expect
• The duration of the trip may vary dependent upon conditions and sightings. Allow for flexibility around the anticipated return time and prepare appropriately.
• Dress for the weather! It can be slightly cooler out on the water especially in the spring, fall, and winter. We may have to cancel trips due to high winds, but our cruises will still go when it is raining.
• Your comfort is a priority! We want to ensure that all of our passengers feel at home on the water and have everything they could need right at the tip of their fingers. Whether you want to enjoy an adult beverage (don’t forget to bring your ID for our craft beers & spirits!) while watching the wildlife in their homes, or to purchase a memento to remember the trip, the Rudee fleet has it all inside the climate-controlled cabin and ship store.
• Departs from Rudee Inlet at the Virginia Beach Fishing Center. Parking is free while you are on the trip, but is limited.

check_in_details: – You must arrive 45-60 minutes prior to departure to check-in with staff on premises of the Virginia Beach Fishing Center.

– During the summer months, you may want to bring sunscreen and sunglasses!
– Don't forget your camera!
– If you are prone to motion sickness or have never been on a boat in the ocean before, we suggest taking a motion sickness preventing medication 30-60 minutes prior to your trip departure. We do have some available for purchase on the boat.
– Food and beverages are available for purchase from our snack bars and adult beverage bars. We accept cash and credit cards on all of our boats.
